Talent acquisition

Step 1. Review the use case summary

HR professionals spend significant time in drafting job requisitions based on requirements from the hiring teams. GenAI models are used to automatically create these drafts from short notes, which can then be validated and posted by the HR team. When resumes are submitted across various job postings, they are of various file formats, layout and content. Reviewers spend a lot of time in reading through and categorising these resumes so that right candidates can be prioritised for follow-up. GenAI models are used to convert submitted documents to text, the key entities from the text are extracted along with a short summarization to catalog the resumes in a database. HR and hiring teams are enabled with Q&A on the database to make the candidate search easy and efficient.

Step 3. Get an application code sample

Get a sample application code for the interactive demo. The code is a complete app that makes API calls to a watsonx instance in IBM Cloud using an IBM Cloud user API key. Modify the code for experimentation. It is assumed that Python3+ is installed or download from https://www.python.org/downloads/.

If you need an API key, please activate a watsonx.ai trial account

Refer to the readme.md inside the application folder to setup and run the application.
